Saturday, October 3, 2009 Southwick, MA - On a mild misty day, West Side visited Southwick for a noon tilt. Early on, Southwick held a small lead thanks to some early goals and some stellar saves by goalie, Aelish McGivney, who not only stymied several West Side breakaways but also stopped a direct penalty kick. There was plenty of scoring on both sides as the team's offenses were the rest of the story. Southwick moved the ball well all day, exhibiting one of their best passing games to date. Fiona O'Donnell led the scoring with 3 goals. Emmalina Toma added 2 of her own in addition to a nice assist to Gillian Ensign who put in a one timer. Emra Toomey scored as well to round out the Striker scoring. West Side kept the game close the entire game though. However, in the end, Southwick was able to hang on for the win. Final Score - Southwick 7 West Side 5
