U10 Girls - 2009 Fall - Game Recap - Southwick @ Suffield

Friday, October 16, 2009 Suffield, CT - On a clear cool night, Southwick took on Suffield in an evening contest under the lights.  The game was tight throughout the first half as Paige Arseneault, Emmalina Toma, and Maggie Sullivan did a good job patrolling the Southwick end.  Halfway through the first half, Rachel Diamond scored on a hard shot from the top of the box to give Southwick the initial lead.  Suffield come right back though to tie it at 1.  Early in the second half, Suffield would go up 2-1.  McKenna Leary and Fiona O'Donnell kept the pressure in the Suffield end.  It would pay off as Emra Toomey would score to tie the game at 2.  The game remained tied until the final minute when Suffield would put in the game-winner with a rocket from the left side.  The girls played their hearts out and really enjoyed playing under the lights!
